I think you’re just too much of a perfectionist. Looks fine to me, and not cluttered at all.
Years ago you told me that you felt there was too much emphasis on website appearance.
Nihlo: absolutely true. Website design has become either focussed on making things look ‘kewl’ or implementing a Swiss Army knife of functions. My dissatisfaction stems directly from that judgement.
I want a simple balance between function and display: quick loading, clear display, simple design, maximum function. I think that this theme does most of what I want, but strikes me as too garish.
My plan at this point is to see if this grows on me. If not, I go back to a very simple design and dump the superfluous function that I screw around with all the time. Maybe then I can get around to adding some content.
