Is Bush Stupid?

I read a lot of blogs; some good, some not so good. Some have insightful analysis, some do not. Every once in a while I come across something quite funny; and not in the good way.

Maverick Philosopher (in Is Bush Stupid?) writes:

[W]hen conservatives point out the liberal bias of the elite media outlets, liberals flatly deny the charge rather than doing what would make more sense, namely, conceding the bias but celebrating it, or else pointing out that conservatives have their own somewhat less elite outlets such as AM Talk Radio and Fox News Network to balance things out.

  • It still boggles me that there remains this bipolar view of introspection: that either it is reliable or it is unreliable. This view is predicated on the idea that first-person utterances like ‘I am in pain’ are reports of introspections.
  • Interesting set of variables on which to run ANOVAs, but I hardly think that we can say anything about the relationship of television watching to autism.
